This stuff works: http://www.healthypets.com/skunbythorco.html
(Note: that's a random website, not necessarily one I recommend.)

It may be too late for this skunking, but the last time our dog met skunk,
I was able to let him in the house 20 minutes later, after a quick scrub and a walk, without any skunk odor to speak of in the house the next morning.

I wouldn't have a dog without it.

Pretty similar thing happened with our dog the same night (Wednesday) - my wife let him out back before going to bed, and she immediately heard him going crazy so went outside and caught the smell. She managed to get him back inside and luckily he didn't seem to get a direct hit so the smell isn't persisting too badly! But yesterday morning I looked out into the yard and was greeted by a black & white carcass in the far corner!
So you have my sympathies.

Prior - I love Elliott Smith! He's the musical equivalent of Breece D'J Pancake, if you've never read him. Kind of an outcast, a loner, all heartsick and tragic.

funny. I was just reading his wiki page today. I've been obsessing over Quasi lately. I didn't know there was overlap there until today.

Well said. Tim rocked metaphors like a fifty thousand pound sack of solidified volcanic magma.
...and about what you said, I often wondered, was it a "feigned losing track" or was it just how his mind worked.

Dear Mr. Prior,

I think you should take solace in your phalanges by rubbing one out for yourself amidst a good nights pleasure thumping. You might endure some discomfort or perhaps even, some bursitis, naturally your tendons and ligaments will adapt - and there is quite a good living to be had as a gigalo - so don't be afraid to mount yourself over and over again until you get it write!
