It may be too late for this skunking, but the last time our dog met skunk,
I was able to let him in the house 20 minutes later, after a quick  scrub and a walk, without any skunk odor to speak of in the house the next morning.

I wouldn't have a dog without it.</description>

					<description>Pretty similar thing happened with our dog the same night (Wednesday) - my wife let him out back before going to bed, and she immediately heard him going crazy so went outside and caught the smell. She managed to get him back inside and luckily he didn't seem to get a direct hit so the smell isn't persisting too badly! But yesterday morning I looked out into the yard and was greeted by a black &#38; white carcass in the far corner!
So you have my sympathies.</description>
